數位典藏成果

Results from digital archive programs

臺灣在2002–2011年啟動「數位典藏國家型科技計畫」第一和第二期工作,以及後續多項相關之數典資料的轉化應用計畫,如「數位典藏與數位學習國家型科技計畫」、「拓展臺灣數位典藏計畫」、「數位核心平台計畫」等。臺大博物館群在參與執行這些計畫的同時,自然史類的動物、植物、昆蟲、地質等標本館和博物館,不僅將重要的典藏數位化並建置資料庫,也進行文物整理清點,讓民眾和研究學者都能在網路上檢視部份的藏品。

The National Digital Archives Programs Phase I & II were initiated from 2002–2011, which leads up several related and applied programs, e.g. National Digital Archives and e-Learning Program, Taiwan Digital Archives Expansion Project, and Core Platforms for Digital Contents Project. The natural history museums at National Taiwan University, covering animals, plants, insects, and geology, were involved in these programs, and constructed databases from the digitalized data. Selected items are available online for the general publics and any researchers interested in these collections.

臺灣植物資訊整合查詢系統(Plants of Taiwan)為「臺灣大學植物標本與歷史文獻典藏數位化計劃等三項國科會計畫成果的整合呈現。臺大植物標本館所擁有的標本,實代表八十多年來台灣植物資源探勘及植物研究之成果,誠為國寶級的典藏資產。藉由數位化的處理,這些標本將以原件原貌方式呈現在研究者眼前,達到保存與供眾使用的雙重功能。

Plants of Taiwan presents the results of three projects of the National Science and Technology Council, including the digitization projects of NTU plant specimens and historical documents. The specimens owned by the NTU Herbarium represent the achievements of Taiwan’s botanical resource exploration and plant research for more than 80 years, making them national treasures. The digital processing allows these specimens to be presented to researchers in their original form, achieving dual purposes of preservation and public access.

At the Edge of Perception - A Microscopic World (Flora Anima)- Tsai Wan-Shuen

作為科學研究觀察對象的植物形態,以顯微鏡為代表工具的科學觀察及研究,和藝術的再現系統、美的心智演化之間,長久以來在主掌知識傳授角色的學院體系中,是兩條互不相通的道路。但這兩者其實都在提議:以另一種方式去認識自己和這個世界,或者一片樹葉。本作品嘗試探索,對生命(植物)形態的觀察和感知能力,其實是一種理性的、感官的、手藝的、和想像的聯覺過程。

This piece explores the vegetal realm within the process of scientific observation.In the academic-led world of scientific research and observation (represented by the microscope), art and the artistic system are traditionally viewed as opposite disciplines. However, both science and art aim at presenting a specific way to perceive the world, our existence, as well as the nuances of nature. The ability to perceive and observe lifeforms, as a result, is a hybrid process involving reason, sensorium, craft, and imagination.
